Who we are and how to contact us
Lara AutoCentre operates this website and handles workshop enquiries. For questions about your personal information or to exercise your rights, email quotes@laraautocentre.co.uk, call 07904 216582, or write to Lara AutoCentre, Bryanstone Road, Waltham Cross, EN8 7PJ.
Information you give us
When you request a quote, arrange work or contact us, we may receive your name, contact details, preferred workshop, vehicle registration, vehicle information, fault description and correspondence. Booking and repair records may also include appointment details, agreed work, invoices and information needed to deal with warranties or complaints. Please do not include unrelated sensitive information in an enquiry.
Why we use it
- Enquiries, quotes and bookings: to respond to your request and take steps towards, or carry out, a service contract.
- Customer service and workshop administration: to manage the work you request and resolve questions, on the basis of our service contract or our legitimate interests in running the workshop and supporting customers.
- Security and fraud prevention: to protect the website and our services, based on our legitimate interests.
- Accounting, legal and regulatory requirements: where processing is necessary to meet our legal obligations.
- Optional website analytics and advertising: with your consent, as explained below.
We need enough contact and vehicle information to respond meaningfully to an enquiry. Sending an enquiry does not by itself subscribe you to promotional messages or accept advertising cookies.
Cookies, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel
Essential technologies support website operation, security and remembering your cookie choice. Optional technologies are controlled through the cookie popup. You can choose Accept all, Reject optional, or View preferences. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent you from using the website.
If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics helps us understand how the website is used, such as pages visited, referral sources and interactions. If you allow Marketing, Meta Pixel can receive website-visit information and technical identifiers to help measure advertising and build audiences for relevant repair adverts. Meta may associate this activity with your account according to its own settings and policies. A website visit is not a confirmed enquiry or booking.
Depending on the choices you allow, these interactions can include the repair service viewed, time spent on a service page, quote and contact-button clicks, enquiry-form starts, selected service, successful enquiry receipt, and engagement with embedded repair videos. A phone or WhatsApp click is not proof of a conversation, and an enquiry is not a confirmed appointment. Our custom measurement sends service categories and interaction details; it does not send the name, email address, phone number, vehicle registration or free-text description entered in the enquiry form to Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.
We have created 30-day website-visitor audiences, covering our repair and servicing categories, for relevant advertising. Audience membership depends on consent, provider matching and eligibility. It does not guarantee that an advert will be shown.
If you accept Marketing cookies and submit an enquiry, we may retain the Meta browser/click identifiers and selected service in LaraOS for up to 30 days. If reception links that enquiry to a confirmed diary appointment, LaraOS can send Meta a Schedule event through its Conversions API. The event contains a fixed service category, time and an opaque event identifier; it does not contain names, contact details, registrations or repair notes. Cancelled appointments and withdrawn or expired permissions are checked before delivery.
The consent-management cookie lara_measurement_consent remembers signed enquiry permission references for 30 days so changing Cookie settings can stop future booking measurement for those enquiries. This cookie is not used to match advertising audiences. Clearing it removes the browser link; you can also contact us to withdraw permission. We do not reconstruct deleted advertising identifiers.
A link from YouTube or social media may contain a campaign label identifying where a visit came from. Clicking that link does not itself give consent to optional cookies on this website.
You can reopen Cookie settings on the website to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking governed by that choice; it does not automatically erase information already received by a provider. You can also delete cookies using your browser settings. If your saved choice is deleted or unavailable, the website will ask again.
See our Cookie Policy, Google privacy policy and Meta privacy policy.
Who receives information
Information is available to people who need it to handle your request and operate the workshop, and to service providers supporting hosting, email, booking, enquiry handling and website security. Google and Meta receive the optional analytics or advertising information described above when the relevant consent is given. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Links to YouTube, Maps, social media or other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Where international providers process information outside the UK, the applicable protection and transfer arrangements are described in their privacy information. Contact us if you need more information about a provider used for your enquiry.
How long information is kept
We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and for relevant legal, accounting, warranty and dispute-handling needs. The appropriate period depends on the record, the service provided and any outstanding obligation or claim. Cookie lifetimes and provider settings differ from the retention of workshop records. Contact us about retention or deletion of a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access or correct your information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or obtain portable information. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Some rights have exceptions, for example where we must retain records by law.
Contact quotes@laraautocentre.co.uk with your request. We may need information to verify your identity. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
