Vehicle Diagnostics
Warning lights, electrical faults and poor running need a structured diagnosis. We test the system, interpret live data and identify the likely cause before recommending parts.

Why correct diagnosis and procedure matter
A diagnostic trouble code identifies the circuit or condition that the control unit detected; it is not automatically the failed component. Good diagnosis combines the code with live data, wiring checks, mechanical tests and the vehicle history.
We diagnose engine, ABS, charging, starting, sensor, actuator, network and electrical faults across a broad range of cars and light commercial vehicles.
We confirm the symptoms and relevant test results so the quote reflects the vehicle rather than a generic parts list.
We explain what is included and agree any change in scope before additional work is carried out.
Symptoms and situations we investigate
- Engine, ABS, airbag or other warning lights
- Intermittent electrical faults or battery drain
- Limp mode, poor running, non-start or loss of power
- A previous scan that named a code but did not prove the cause
Replacing a component solely because its name appears in a fault code can waste money and leave the real problem unresolved.
What the work can include
- Record symptoms and scan all relevant control modules
- Review live data, freeze-frame information and technical evidence
- Test wiring, power, earth, sensors, actuators or mechanical condition
- Explain findings and agree the next repair or further test
Time, pricing and warranty
Some faults are proven quickly; intermittent, network or wiring faults can require staged testing. We agree diagnostic time and report what the evidence shows.
Diagnostic work is priced by the authorised test time and equipment required, with additional investigation agreed before it continues.
Repairs are covered for 12 months or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first. An optional three-year warranty is available; terms and conditions apply.
